Description

Step into the world of Qix, a pioneering arcade game that redefined the realm of action puzzles. Released by Taito in 1981, Qix offers a unique gaming experience where players have to claim a supermajority of the playfield and outmaneuver various enemies. This old-school game was initially designed for Atari 5200 and Atari 8-bit computers before making its way to other platforms like Commodore 64, DOS, Amiga, Apple IIgs, Game Boy, Nintendo Entertainment System, and Atari Lynx. As the game progresses, the challenge intensifies with the inclusion of multiple Qixes, and the transformation of Sparx into Super Sparx. Qix is not just a game; it's a timeless journey into the golden era of arcade gaming.

Game Controls

The player maneuvers a marker around the rectangle's edges. Holding down one of the draw buttons allows the marker to move into unclaimed territory, drawing lines to create a closed shape. The marker cannot cross or backtrack along any uncompleted lines. If the Qix touches any incomplete lines or the marker, a life is lost.
