Description

Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf is a classic 1992 shoot 'em up game by Electronic Arts that brings you the thrill of strategic warfare. As a player, you'll take control of an Apache helicopter, tasked with the mission of destroying enemy weapons, installations, and rescuing hostages. Inspired by the Gulf War, the game unfolds a conflict between the US and a Middle Eastern dictator, General Kilbaba. With the perfect blend of action and strategy, you'll navigate through open, multi-directional scrolling levels viewed from an isometric perspective. The game was EA's highest selling game at the time, receiving favorable reviews for its graphics, sound, and overall enjoyability. Despite some controversy surrounding its release soon after the Gulf War, the game remains a classic in the retro shooter genre.
