Description

"Step back into the golden age of gaming with Life Force (Salamander), a classic scrolling shooter arcade game released by Konami in 1986. As a spin-off to the popular Gradius series, Salamander offered an innovative approach to gameplay with its simplified power-up system and the introduction of both horizontal and vertical scrolling stages. In a bold move that later set a standard for future Gradius games, it allowed players to continue from where they left off upon death instead of returning to a predetermined checkpoint. The game was later ported to the Family Computer in Japan in 1987 and the NES in North America with altered levels and bosses. Whether playing as Vic Viper or Lord British, gamers are in for a blast from the past with this retro gem. Rediscover classic gaming with Life Force (Salamander)!
