Description

Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls is a landmark game in the history of retro gaming, developed by Leland Interactive Media and published by Tradewest in 1994. This epic game is an American-produced sequel to the Double Dragon series by Technōs Japan. Unlike its predecessors, which were side-scrolling beat 'em ups, Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls offers a head-to-head fighting experience. The game draws inspiration from the Double Dragon animated series and Capcom's 1991 arcade-hit Street Fighter II. The game features a unique 8-way directional pad/stick and 6-button layout, offering weak, medium, and strong punches and kicks. It also has special moves and finishing moves called 'Overkills' that provide unique death animations for the defeated character. With four game modes to choose from, you can engage in arcade-style single-player mode, two-player mode, or a plot-based series of matches in Quest mode. You can also pit two computer-controlled characters against each other in Watch mode. Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls has a character roster of twelve fighters, many of whom are from the Double Dragon animated series. The game features original characters like Bones, Sekka, Blade, and Dominique, with Blade's design based on the generic Shadow Warrior soldiers from the show.
