Set in the backdrop of ancient Japan, the game invites players to embark on a thrilling quest to become the ultimate warrior. Journey through ancient forests, bustling villages, and treacherous dungeons, defeating evil and rival swordsmen along the way. Power-up by eating food and drinking sake to overcome challenges. The game revolves around collecting a set of four items that grant access to the guardians at the end of each level. Magic pots serve as checkpoints and are activated with the energy of your sword. Navigate through obstacles using a bell at the right place and time. Originally developed by Vivid Image and released for Amiga in 1991, First Samurai has since been adapted for Atari ST, C64, DOS, and the Super NES. This old-school platform game was followed by the popular sequel, Second Samurai.
