Description

Front Line, released in 1982, is a military combat-themed arcade game that broke new ground in the gaming world. Developed by Taito Corporation, Front Line was among the first games to feature a ground combat theme, stepping away from the usual vehicular combat norm prevalent in early 80s games. As a lone soldier, you are equipped with a pistol and grenades and tasked with the mission to destroy an enemy's fort. The game offers a unique blend of infantry battles and tank warfare. In the tank warfare stage, you can commandeer light and heavy tanks, each with their distinct advantages and disadvantages. The ultimate goal is to lob a grenade into the enemy's fort to trigger surrender. As levels progress, enemy soldiers become quicker and more deadly, making Front Line a challenging experience that keeps players engaged.
