Description
Released in 1987 by Data East, Heavy Barrel is a gripping overhead run and gun arcade game. Players are thrown into an adrenaline-fueled mission to infiltrate an underground nuclear missile site overrun by terrorists. Start with a gun loaded with unlimited ammunition and a limited set of grenades. As the game unfolds, unlock crates to reveal power-ups and pieces of the Heavy Barrel - a superweapon with an energy cannon that decimates any enemy. This retro masterpiece offers an immersive gameplay experience, reminiscent of SNK's Ikari Warriors, with its 8-way rotary joysticks. The NES version, developed in 1990, maintains this classic gaming feel with its cross-shaped joypad and action buttons. Heavy Barrel is an essential addition to the library of any retro gaming enthusiast.
