Description

Full description:"NBA Jam is a classic basketball arcade game developed and published by Midway in 1993. Mark Turmell, the mastermind behind this masterpiece, introduced a new way of playing basketball video games. The game was a successor to Midway's previous sports games like Arch Rivals, High Impact, and Super High Impact. The 2-on-2 basketball gameplay, NBA-licensed teams, real digitized likenesses of players, and the exaggerated play made NBA Jam a phenomenon. Players soared high above the rim for gravity-defying slam dunks, elbowing opponents out of their way, and went 'on fire' for boosted performance after making three consecutive baskets. NBA Jam was packed with easter eggs, special features, and secret codes to unlock hidden players. The rosters were from the 1992-93 and 1993-94 NBA seasons, with notable exclusions being Michael Jordan and Shaquille O'Neal due to licensing issues. The game was so popular that it generated a whopping $1 billion in revenue, becoming the highest-earning arcade game of all time in 1994.
