Released in 1990 by Tecmo, this sequel to the popular Ninja Gaiden game captures the player in a gripping storyline and a high level of difficulty. The game's protagonist, Ryu Hayabusa, is recruited by the U.S. Army agent Robert T. Sturgeon to halt Ashtar's evil plan to engulf the world in darkness. The game is praised for its improved visuals and controls, presenting a challenge for players that feels both exciting and rewarding. The plot, while more predictable, is filled with intense battles and memorable moments that have cemented Ninja Gaiden II as a classic in retro gaming.
