Description

"Quarth, originally known as Block Hole, is a captivating game from the late 80s that flawlessly combines puzzle-solving with shoot 'em up action. Developed by the renowned Japanese game company, Konami, this game uniquely fuses the block-arranging gameplay of Tetris with the thrilling action of a fixed shooter like Space Invaders. In the game, players control a spaceship stationed at the bottom of the screen, shooting blocks upwards to complete falling block patterns into squares or rectangles. Properly arranged shapes are subsequently destroyed, earning the player points proportional to the size of the shape. As the game advances, the blocks fall at an increasing speed and frequency, heightening the challenge. Power-ups can be found to boost the ship's speed and offer other bonuses.Quarth was a commercial success in both Japan and Europe, especially the UK and Italy. It was even featured in the manga series Rock'n Game Boy, further establishing its cultural significance. Relive the nostalgia or discover retro gaming with Quarth!
