Description

Turrican is a 1990's video game gem, masterfully designed and programmed by Manfred Trenz. Developed for the Commodore 64 by Rainbow Arts, it was later ported to other systems due to its immense popularity. Turrican's storyline is set in the man-made world of Alterra, where you, as a bio-engineered mutant warrior, are tasked with the planetary reclamation. The game's challenges involve eliminating hostile organisms across Alterra's five multi-level worlds and destroying the rogue system, MORGUL. Noted for its high technical achievements, Turrican demonstrates graphics many deemed impossible on a Commodore 64. The Turrican series is also renowned for its captivating soundtracks composed by Chris Huelsbeck. With its non-linear levels and exploration element, Turrican stands as a timeless classic in the realm of retro gaming.
