Description

"Xevious is a remarkable vertical scrolling shooter arcade game released in 1982 by Namco. It's a timeless classic where you control a combat aircraft named Solvalou, equipped with a forward-firing Zapper for aerial targets, and a Blaster for ground targets. This game takes you on a journey through a variety of terrains, from forests to enemy bases, with the unique addition of mysterious Nazca Lines-like drawings on the ground. The game's narrative weaves an intriguing tale of the fight between humankind and the biocomputer GAMP, controlling the alien forces of the planet Xevious. The captivating storyline, combined with engaging gameplay and unique features such as the Andor Genesis motherships - considered one of the first level bosses in video games - makes Xevious a must-play for any retro game enthusiast.

Game Controls

Control the Solvalou aircraft with an 8-way joystick. Use the A button for dropping bombs and the B button for launching anti-aircraft missiles. Use the Select button at the title screen to choose between 1 player and 2 players mode. Press Start to begin a new game and Pause to halt the action mid-game.
