Description

"Take a thrilling ride down memory lane with Formula One: Built to Win, an iconic racing game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Published by SETA Corporation and developed by Winky Soft in 1990, this game was a pioneer in introducing a career mode and car tuning options in racing games. Step into the shoes of a race car driver aiming to rise from 'Rags to Riches.' Start with a Mini Cooper and work your way up to high-performing vehicles like the Vector W2, the Ferrari F40, and a Formula-1 race car. Experience races in real Formula One tracks from around the world, and compete against competitors inspired by the drivers of the 1990 and 1991 Formula One seasons. With gameplay similar to Rad Racer and Pole Position, Formula One: Built to Win offers an authentic racing experience. Win races, invest in better parts, and keep improving your car’s performance. The game also has a 'free mode' that allows unlimited use of all four vehicles on their respective tracks. Don’t forget to try your luck at the slot machine game in the Las Vegas portion of the game!

Game Controls

Formula One: Built to Win offers traditional NES controls. The D-pad is used for steering, while the A and B buttons are for acceleration and braking, respectively. Specific controls for car tuning and slot machine game are explained within the game.
