Description
"Step into the boxing ring with Ring King, a vintage arcade game developed by Woodplace in 1985. Known as King of Boxer in Japan and Europe, it takes you on a comical sports adventure where every punch counts. As a player, you assume the persona of a boxer rising from debut to world champion. With a roster of quirky opponents, your journey to the championship will be nothing short of entertaining. The game boasts a variety of punches and defensive strategies, including special attacks that can instantly knock out your opponent. However, missing too many punches can lead to a decline in stamina. The game also features a two-player mode and a password-based game progress saving system. The Nintendo port of the game also allows players to improve their boxer's stats using power points earned after each match.Ring King was later ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987 and to the MSX2 in 1988. It was also converted into an i-mode mobile phone application by Namco, exclusively released in January 2004. Experience the retro boxing adventure with Ring King today.
Game Controls
The game operates using a traditional arcade joystick for movement and two buttons for actions, including punches and special attacks. The player's stamina can be revived by rapidly pressing the action button during the round interval.
