Description

Tecmo Bowl is a classic American football game that was launched in 1987 by Tecmo. It was not only a hit in the arcades but also made waves as a port for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1989. This game holds the distinction of being the first console game to feature real NFL players. The NES version was later ported to mobile phones in 2004, allowing a new generation to experience this iconic game. The original arcade version offered up to four players and the ability to break tackles with two fictional teams, Wildcats and Bulldogs. The NES version, though limited to two players, offered three modes: one-player, two-player, and coach. The game includes twelve teams, each with four plays, with the teams being identified by their home city or state. The teams featured are some of the most popular of that era, including Indianapolis, Miami, Cleveland, Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles (Raiders), Washington, San Francisco, Dallas, New York (Giants), Chicago, and Minnesota.
